MISSION STATEMENT...

"TO CONSTRUCT AND PROVIDE FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF A PERMANENT MEMORIAL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE NORTHERN BATTLE OF BRITAIN MEMORIAL, AT LAKESIDE, DONCASTER, THEREBY ADVANCING PUBLIC EDUCATION REGARDING THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN AND THE ROLE OF THE AIR FORCES OF GREAT BRITAIN, ITS COMMONWEALTH AND ALLIES IN PREVENTING THE GERMAN AIR FORCE FROM GAINING AIR SUPERIORITY OVER THE UNITED KINGDOM, AND ULTIMATELY, PREVENTING GERMANY FROM INVADING BRITAIN."

The Northern Battle of Britain Memorial Appeal is a charity that is building a National Memorial in the north of the country dedicated to the 2,954 allied pilots and aircrew who fought in the Battle of Britain.

The Memorial will complement those in London and Capel-le-Ferne near Dover.

When complete the Memorial will be linked to a visitor centre at the South Yorkshire Air Museum. Here both young and old will be able to explore and understand the significance of the Battle where "so much was owed by so many to so few" Please help us to build this Memorial so we can all "Remember the Few by Reminding the Many"
